MRI

Ventura Orthopedics has its own open extremity MRI scanner designed specifically for imaging the extremities including the shoulder, knee, ankle, wrist, elbow, hand, and foot. The open design of the machine allows for the patient to lie outside the magnet and extends only the area being studied into the magnet. The exam is very quiet and open, so patients tend to feel very relaxed and comfortable throughout the exam.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses radio waves and magnetism rather than x-ray to create images of the human anatomy. The images can help the physician better view the anatomy and help to diagnose where your injury is and where your pain is coming from.
